VINE VARIETY: 100% Merlot .
AREA OF ORIGIN: Western Sicily in the area of Alcamo, Valdibella Estate.
CLASSIFICATION: IGP Terre Siciliane (Protected Geographical Indication – Sicilian Territory).
SOIL: Medium-textured and fertile soil, with lots of nutrients and organic matter.
ALTITUDE: 250-300 metres above sea level.
VINEYARD: Counter-espalier training with Guyot pruning system.
CLIMATE: Mild and rainy winter, hot and windy summer.
GRAPE HARVEST: Third week of September. Manual harvesting
VINIFICATION: Destemming and maceration for 15 days with periodic movement inside the tanks. Light refining in wooden barrels.
ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES: Ruby red color with violet reflexes of good structure. Intense, elegant and balanced scent
which reminds of mixed berries.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs well with red meat, grilled meat, aged cheese and cold cuts
TEMPERATURE: Serve at 18°-20° C.
